CDBG Public Input Meeting - 12/21/09

posted Dec 21, 2009, 12:27 PM by Ryan Anderson
Don't forget about tonight's CDBG public input meeting.  It will be held at the Osborne Community Center from 6:00-8:00pm.  Below is a list of items that the TRNA will be asking for during this meeting.

  1. Join sidewalks and repair broken sidewalks (Concentrate efforts on A Street and B Street between Lucerne and 10th Ave due to large volume of children using them to walk to Highland Elementary).
  2. Paint lines for street side parking in westerly neighborhoods (like neighborhoods just east of Dixie have to delineate street parking).  This makes cluttered streets look organized and maintained as well as provides added safety.
  3. Repaint lines on streets (i.e. stop signs, walkways, yellow lines, etc…)
  4. Speed bumps (A, B, C and D streets between 2nd Avenue South and 7th Avenue South are known speed zones.)
  5. Book mobile parking spot.  The LW library has funds for a mobile library that can deliver books to handicap and elderly residents.  This cannot be implemented due to a lack of a parking space for the book mobile.
  6. Pressure clean sidewalks. This will brighten up the streets of Lake Worth greatly!
  7. Security cameras at Kwik Stop on Lucerne.  This needs to be done in conjunction with the PBSO to fight crime occurring on Lucerne between E and G streets due to public alcohol consumption, prostitution and drug dealing in that area.
