Director Election

Congratulations to Robert Elliot and Javier del Sol on their landslide election into the TRNA Board of Directors positions.  Both candidates ran a clean, fair and effective campaign.  Most of all, I'm happy that they continue working with the Association’s Officers as the make a pretty great team!

Community Walk

When: July 24th, 4pm

Where: Quaker Meeting House on North A Street

Why: To bring awareness to our community about the neighborhood association.

Who: PBSO, Code Enforcement Officer (unconfirmed) and YOU!

907 N H Street

Tropical Ridge has procured a No Trespassing sign from the PBSO to post on the empty lot at 907 North H Street.  This will give officers a tool that will enable them to enforce the illegal dumping that continues to occur on that lot.  The association is looking for the donation of concrete and a metal post so that we can properly display this sign.

Neighborhood Signs and Banners

For many years Tropical Ridge, along with many others associations throughout Lake Worth, have been requesting permission of the City to post uniform and permanent signs that identify our unique neighborhoods and define their boundaries.  If passed this is a project that would be a joint venture between the neighborhood associations and the city.  The associations would bear the cost of materials, while the City would bear the cost of maintenance.  Recently this matter has been brought forward by the Commission and will be discussed at the July 20th Commission meeting at 6pm in City Hall.  Please come out to hear the proposal for this joint venture on July 20th and to voice your opinion to the Commission on the matter.

Financial Advisory Board Meetings

The Financial Advisory Board meets every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm in City Hall.  Currently they are reviewing the City’s proposed 2011 budget.  They welcome the public and their input.

PBSO Haiti Relief Donations

PBSO is currently accepting donations for Haitian earthquake victims.  They are specifically looking for rice and dry beans.  25lb bags of rice are available at Costco and Sam’s Club for under $10.  Drop off all donations at the Lake Worth District 14 Sherriff’s station or call Rick Ponce at 561.202.9638.  To see a more extensive list of what PBSO is looking for to donate, please see

LW Casino Charrette & Polling

There will be a Beach Casino Charrette held on August 21st from 12-3pm at Compass to take input from the public for the redesign of Lake Worth’s beach structure.  If you cannot attend this event, please take the time to fill out the REG Architect questionnaire and make sure you have a say in what happens at our beach.
