The Parrot Cove neighborhood in Lake Worth is hosting a home and garden tour on Sunday, March 7 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.  The tour features nine homes and their gardens, two bed & breakfasts and St. Andrews Episcopal Church.  Complimentary appetizers and beverages, provided by local restaurants, will be served at the homes.  Free Pedi cabs will be available.

Parrot Cove, named for the wild green parrots who call it home, is one of Lake Worth’s historic neighborhoods.  It is almost entirely single family homes with some dating from the Florida land boom in the 1920’s but most built in the next wave of Florida’s growth in the 1950’s and 1960’s.  Currently, many residents are artists or are involved in creative fields.  The homes and gardens on the tour have been personalized to reflect the homeowner’s vision.  The community’s borders are 2nd Avenue on the south, Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course on the east, 13th Avenue on the north and Federal Highway on the west.

Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance or $25 if purchased at the welcome tent on event day.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.parrotcove.org or at the following Lake Worth locations: Jane Loves Cheap Furniture, 201 N. Federal; Lake Worth Chamber of Commerce, 501 Lake Avenue; Mango Inn Bed & Breakfast, 128 N. Lakeside, Sabal Palm House Bed & Breakfast, 109 N. Golfview; Studio 205, 600 Lake Avenue; the Cottage, 522 Lucerne or call Anna at 561/586-8612.  Starting in February tickets can be purchased at the Oceanside Farmers Market at Lake Worth beach.  Ticket outlets will accept cash and checks only; online purchases are with credit cards or through PayPal.

The tour is suitable for adults therefore no children will be allowed.  The event will be held, rain or shine.
