Second CDBG Public Meeting

posted Dec 14, 2009, 12:13 PM by Ryan Anderson   [ updated Dec 14, 2009, 12:36 PM ]

Lake Worth City will be holding two public input forums regarding City Development Block Grant (CDBG) fund usage.  The first meeting will be held at the Osborne Community Center from 6:00-8:00pm on December 21, 2009.   The second meeting will be held at the Compass Center from 6:00-8:00pm on January 4, 2010.

As a Tropical Ridge Neighborhood Association member you are encouraged to join the second meeting being held on January 4th at the Compass Center.  Lake Worth is being allocated ~$250,000 for the 2010 CDBG.  This money can only be used towards three projects or less and these projects must be approved by the County.  The goal of this public discussion is to provide and prioritize ideas for the use of the CDBG money, to hear about the ideas listed in the first public forum and to help narrow down both sets of ideas to three or less that can be submitted to the County for review.

Carlos Serrano from the PBC Government will be in attendance to help ensure that the ideas we discuss are eligible.  To learn more about CDBG funding and the various rules and regulations surrounding the uses of this money, where it comes from and how it is allocated, please visit the links provided below.
