Vegetation Amnesty Weeks

posted Jun 4, 2010, 8:19 AM by Ryan Anderson
The City of Lake Worth will be sponsoring two Amnesty Weeks during the remainder of 2010 to collect vegetation and bulk refuse items that Lake Worth residents wish to dispose of.  During this time, City of Lake Worth residents will be able to leave as much vegetation or bulk items they choose at the curb for pickup by the City of Lake Worth Refuse Division.  This amnesty applies to residential pickup only, and no citations will be issued during the amnesty period.

Vegetation Amnesty Week is scheduled for the week of June 7-11, 2010; throughout this week, residents can place all the vegetation they want at the curb for pickup up to and including their regularly scheduled pickup day.  Residents may start placing vegetation material at the curb starting Saturday June 5, 2010, and continue to add to the pile until the day of their regular pickup.

Bulk Amnesty Week is scheduled for the week of November 8-12, 2010; the procedure for placing bulk items out for pickup will follow the same format as vegetation but for bulk items only. More information will be made available to the public on the City's website or through the Refuse Division prior to the start date.
