RSS Feeds

What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a way for content publishers to make news, blogs, and other content available to subscribers.  Using RSS, publishers can make content and updates available for download by subscribers automatically.

An RSS document, which is usually referred to as a "feed," includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.  RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader" or "aggregator" which can be either web-based or desktop-based.
